Kevin Gordon(Producer/Director/Editor) is a documentary filmmaker with a strong background in social history and human rights. His work gives voice to stories of self-empowerment. Marilyn Griffin(Executive Producer) is Director of Planning and Development of the South of Market Health Center in San Francisco. Since receiving her Masters in Social Work from UC Berkeley in 1970, Marilyn has worked as a health planner focusing primarily on community health services for the poor and underprivileged. Marilyn was inspired to make the film by her own experiences growing up in housing projects in the East Bay and by a lifelong dream of honoring the women like Mrs. Westbrook that have effected social change.She currently manages fundraising to build Westbrook Plaza, a $14 million, state-of-the-art community health center to be named in honor of Mrs. Westbrook. www.smhcsf.org
Rebecca Whittington (Executive Producer) has produced over twenty television miniseries and movies for ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Showtime and Lifetime. Rebecca was recruited by Lifetime Television Network as a Creative Network Executive where she was responsible for multiple productions, including the Emmy nominated Gracie’s Choice staring Anne Heche and Kristen Bell.
